What online accounting software actually does
The term covers two very different things. Worth separating before you choose.
Ledger software keeps the books: accounts, journal entries, trial balances, filings. SAGA, WinMentor, SmartBill and Hamorsoft all do this, and if you already run one, there is no reason to switch. Aperta Sync does not replace it and does not try to.
The problem starts earlier, before the first journal entry: the documents. Supplier invoices arrive on WhatsApp, till receipts turn up in an envelope at month end, the bank statement comes in a different format than last month, and half your team's effort goes into chasing what is missing. That is where the time goes — not in the data entry.
Aperta Sync covers exactly that gap. It pulls invoices from the SPV, bank transactions over PSD2 straight from the bank, and whatever the client uploads through their own portal; it checks and structures all of it, then exports in the format your software reads. Your ledger software stays yours; what reaches it arrives already verified.
